Dr. Dillon teaches JMC 398 - Electronic News Reporting, JMC 390 - The World Wide Web as Mass Medium, JMC 466 - Advanced Electronic News Reporting, JMC 568 - Critical Analysis of Mass Media, JMC 585 - Individualized Independent Study, and JMC 630 - Mass Communication Theory. He is also quarter-time adviser to MSU-TV 11 News.

He holds a Ph.D. in Journalism / Mass Communication Research from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Ill., an M.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a B.A. in English from Lehman College of the City University of New York.

Dr. Dillon's research interests include electronic media practices; perception and persuasion in communications; use and applications of the World Wide Web; social science aspects of the New Madrid Seismic Zone.

Dr. Haney teaches JMC 330 - Mass Media Effects (Theory), JMC 440 - Research Methods, JMC 590 - Mass Communications Law, and JMC 630 - Theories of Mass Communications. He is also the Graduate Coordinator for the Department.

He holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Communication from Michigan State University and a B.A. in English and Psychology from Kansas Wesleyan University. 

Dr. Haney's research interests include agenda-setting, violence, and political communication.

He holds an M.S. in Journalism from Murray State University and a B.S. in Journalism from Union University.

Mr. Hedges' research interests include newspaper editing and design, news media ethics, and collegiate media.

Mr. Johnson teaches JMC 383 - Advanced Photojournalism. He also serves as photo coordinator and adviser for The Murray State News and The Shield.

He holds an M.A. and a B.S. in Art from Murray State University.

Other information: Mr. Johnson provides full photographic coverage for the Murray State Sports Information Department for all media guides and marketing publications.

Dr. Landini's research interests include journalism history, readership studies, and uses and gratifications.

He holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communications from Ohio University, an M.A. in Journalism from Murray State University, and a B.A. in History and Journalism from Murray State College.

Dr. McGaughey's research interests include content analysis of political coverage and history of mass communications (print, TV).
